Patient - Physician Relationship
The patient-physician relationship is built on a foundation of honesty, respect, and trust.
Physicians at RVDR Health and in this Medical Practice are committed to prioritising the patient’s care and well-being while respecting the patient’s autonomy in making personal decisions, including those related to lifestyle and treatment options.
This clinic maintains a zero-tolerance policy and reserves the right to terminate the patient-physician relationship if a patient:
Engages in threatening or abusive behavior toward the physician or clinic staff, including comments or actions of a sexualised or racist nature. As employers, physicians have a legal duty to ensure a workplace free from harassment for their employees.
Presents a risk of harm to the physician or clinic staff.
Demonstrates a lack of confidence in the physician, such as through behavior that indicates the clinic is not being utilised as a primary care provider. This may include repeatedly seeking care at other clinics without necessity.
Fails to attend scheduled appointments or neglects to pay for services, despite multiple reminders and discussions.
